The interesting thing about this luminaire is that its design is inspired by the biker culture and industrial aesthetic made famous by the Buster & Punch design studio. The linearly grooved screen and torx screws are not just aesthetic elements, but refer to the precision engineering and robust construction that is typical of biker components. Massimo Buster Minale, founder of London-based brand Buster + Punch, is an architect and designer who transforms ordinary functional elements into exclusive design pieces with a fresh character. His journey began in a garage in Shoreditch, where as an architect by day and custom motorcycle builder by night, he mastered his craft and began making unique pieces - later taking this aesthetic into interior design.
